Old Items, New Teddy Bears
When cherished older items reach the end of their useful lives, we often take pictures of them to remember them by. We can turn baby clothes and t-shirts into quilts. But a few people are doing some very creative repurposing of old materials.
Have an old terry cloth towel? Andreas Linzner will turn it into a bear - or an elephant, a giraffe, a bunny, etc. [via babygadget]
Have a fur coat that isn't going to be worn any more? You could donate it to Coats for Cubs, as I've mentioned in my newsletter - or you could let Karen turn that fur into a teddy bear.
Mother Grimm's Bears also makes bears from old furs.
And Teddylux Cashmere will make a stuffed animal - a bear, elephant, or bunny - from your old machine-sewn cashmere sweater. [via Springwise] Update on Aug. 1, 2012: Teddylux Cashmere seems to have disappeared.

What a creative idea, so cute! It's recycling and making something memorable.
Glad you like it, Jayne!
