Lego Storage Options: The 2010 Update
Back in 2007 I wrote about 16 Lego storage options, and that's the most popular post I've ever written. The comments have introduced a few more options, too.
But just today I learned of some neat new products to help organize all those Legos, from a company called Brikcrate. The first is a set of labels that you can use on whatever containers you're using for your Legos.
And then there are the storage tables: the JuniorCrate and the JumboCrate (shown above) - and of course the labels work perfectly with these storage pieces. The JuniorCrate comes with your choice of three different drawer configurations; the JumboCrate has four choices. The tables come in three different heights, too.
Update: See my June 2011 finds for Lego storage.

Just a quick comment to say thanks for both the old article and this one. We're at about No 18 on the Lego Sorting Evolutionary scale so definitely time to invest in something that works and this looks lovely! Away to see if it can be sourced in the UK (probably not...) and whether the price will make me feel a bit ill...

You're very welcome, Happy Mama!
Brikcrate will ship label kits anywhere for a reasonable fee, but even they get ill with the price to ship the tables overseas.
Thanks for the information, Ty!
Nice do-it-yourself lego storage table at http://www.instructables.com/id/Lego-construction-table/
Thanks to the author of this post - it is truly a blessing. My 9 year old has been collecting sets for 5 years now and we have so many. This last update is awesome. Your two storage solution posts should be linked from the lego site - think of how many more lego sets they would sell if there were storage solutions for any space/effort and your posts have the best I have seen on the internet during my storage search! THANK YOU!!!!
Also thanks to Anonymous - that table is brillian now I have to find someone to build it because I am not so handy.
Anonymous, you're very welcome!
