2-Ring and 3-Ring Binders: Now We Are 18
Do you use 3-ring binders, or lever arch files? Do the basic white vinyl binders (and similar products) bore you silly? If so, take a look at the 9 binders I found back in January 2007 and two more from March 2007 - and then look at my latest discoveries.
First, let's give a nod to the people providing binders made from recycled materials. The ones above come from Memo; you can get them in this natural brown or in colors.
And the Naked Binder provides a range of eco-friendly binders, including the one shown above. Sister company Archival Products also has an Eco Binder. Another place to get a "green" binder is The Green Office.
Pulp Products provides handcrafted fabric 3-ring binders in solid colors and patterns.
Rustico has an impressive leather 3-ring binder.
And then there's the Trivino 3-ring binder from Kolo.
I've mentioned BinderTek before, but never these Barrister Binders, which come in 2-ring and 3-ring styles. (Hmm, I guess this doesn't increase the total binder count, but I had to show you the picture.)
In Australia, kikki.K makes some colorful binders, both standard 2-ring binders and lever arch. Notice the interesting lining paper.
And here are the most unusual binders I've found, from Loonar Gifts on Etsy. Some are embroidered, and some are covered in a "funky" material that looks somewhat like shag carpeting. Update on Dec. 28, 2011: I'm no longer finding these binders.

Glad you like them, Ariane!
I like leather binder and those embroidered ones very much and now planning to do something similar for myself. It's good to be a crafty person :D
Miina, I'm glad to hear this blog post gave you some ideas and inspiration!
There are definitely instances in which binders are better than file folder. These are cute designs that have great labels. Thanks for the great post!
You're very welcome, Michelle!
