Reminders: 12 Ways to Use the Doorknob
Door reminders (or doorknob organizers, or door hangers) are popping up all over the place. I saw this cute erasable one from Day Runner at the NAPO conference. And it's a good thing I did - it's next to impossible to find on their web site. Unfortunately, it's only sold at Office Depot. But there are plenty of other options. Update on March 15, 2015: I'm no longer finding this product.
For a somewhat similar product, over at Unica Home, you can find the Knob Note. Update on March 15, 2015: I'm not finding this product anywhere.
The most famous door organizer - it was mentioned on Oprah - is the Doorganizer from Israeli company Monkey Business. It's widely available, at places ranging from The Container Store to Target to Amazon.com. Update on March 10, 2015: I'm no longer finding this at The Container Store or Target, but it's available through Uncommon Goods.
Over on Etsy, Milk Pail sells this doorknob organizer. [via Apartment Therapy, where the readers expressed some reservations about its functionality and suggested using it somewhere other than on a doorknob]
This door hanger comes from The Paper Princess. [via Cool Mom Picks]
Bob's Your Uncle makes this door hanger pad. Update on March 15, 2015: This product has been discontinued.
If you want something less garish, here's another door hanger memo pad.
And here's another doorknob memo pad, with a different look. Update on March 15, 2015: I'm no longer finding this product.
Here's another reminder pad - this one with a checklist. Update on March 15, 2015: I'm not finding this one any more.
If you'd like an "organiser" instead of an "organizer," here's a door handle organiser from the U.K. Update on March 15, 2015: I'm not finding this one anywhere.
And if you'd like to make your own door organizer, FamilyFun has a suggestion. Or you could crochet one.
These are great! I've never seen most of the stuff in this post.
ReplyDeleteExcellent as always. I like to hang a bag on the door-knob and fill it with errand stuff/returns... that is about the only way I don't forget to take it sometimes. ha! Even us organizers....
ReplyDeleteMichele, I'm glad I could point you to something new.
ReplyDeleteAllison: But of course! I put everything on a shelf that's right by the front door - how in the world would I remember otherwise?
I have two of the knob organizers from http://milkpail.etsy.com
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful and definitely helpful keeping this gal's life a bit more in order...(and I need all the help I can get!)
Bek/clevergirl, thanks for writing! It's always nice to know that something that SEEMS good on the web is actually as good as it seems!
ReplyDeleteThese ideas are great! I'm going to have to make one for my husband. He's always forgetting things. I always leave things on the floor next to the door, so I don't forget them. I can't be doing that anymore, since I have 13 month old twins!
ReplyDeleteOne Craft Girl's Corner, I'm glad this post inspired you!
