Sweet Storage: Cookie Jars and Biscuit Barrels
Cute but not too cutesy, this cookie jar really caught my eye. [via ohdeedoh] (Update on Nov. 7, 2010: Sadly, this cookie jar is no longer available.) But when I went looking for other nice cookie jars, I was surprised at how hard it was to find ones I liked. However, I did find a few!
Katherine Washburn Ceramics makes cookie jars (which might also serve as pet treat jars) with dogs, cats, and more.
This bear pottery cookie jar, made by Chris Hierlihy, comes from the Macdonald Stewart Art Centre in Ontario, Canada.
Over on Etsy, this stoneware cookie jar comes from Riverware Pottery. There's also one in blue.
Inclaynations Pottery also makes a lovely simple cookie jar in gold or black. Update on Dec. 13, 2011: The Inclaynations web site has disappeared.
Coming to us from Scotland is this biscuit barrel - a new term for me - from Wemyss Ware Studio.
And finally, for a total change in style (and price), there's the Waterford biscuit barrel, available from a number of on-line merchants.
