It doesn't seem the books would be as solidly in place as in your standard bookcase, does it?

And if you live in earthquake territory as I do, you bolt your bookcases to the wall - and that wouldn't work with these.

But for certain specific spaces, I can see round bookcases being a good answer. For example, I can see that tall one in a room without the wall space for a standard bookcase (and where using a bookcase as a room divider isn't a good idea, either).Jeri Danskyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01647833266269245240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4238401484560614586.post-42245168388167424522010-01-22T14:59:06.672-08:002010-01-22T14:59:06.672-08:00Jeri, I always love all the resources you come up ...Jeri, I always love all the resources you come up with! So much work. You're the best.

But, weirdly, I have a think about round bookcases. They seem "squidgy" to me. Untrustworthy in some way. But, I do like the wood tones and probably could get used to that bookcase. I also like the idea that because the pieces are round they don't have to be used right up against a wall and will give the room a whole different effect.Onlinehandymanhttp://youronlinehandyman.com/2009/09/embarrassed-by-your-dirty-grout/noreply@blogger.com
