I never wear post-style earrings, so I tend to forget about them.

And if you wind up using a vase or some such for earrings, please let me know and send along a photo!

And JustGail, I'm glad to have given you some ideas!Jeri Danskyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01647833266269245240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4238401484560614586.post-40777214046255524032012-08-07T09:19:15.117-07:002012-08-07T09:19:15.117-07:00This comment just came in by email, and I wanted t...This comment just came in by email, and I wanted to share it:

I use a domed wire mesh food cover which I hang on my wall near my dressing table. It works great for posts (I can reach around back for the earring backs) and hooks. What I need to find is something good for hoops and clip-ons. That metal one and a thinner version of the wood one have potential, as do some in the past posts you've linked to. I think I could even make something similar myself, with some of the stuff stashed away, now that I've seen some ideas. thanks!JustGailhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08948391538309176039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4238401484560614586.post-54498885112090180502012-08-06T09:24:47.501-07:002012-08-06T09:24:47.501-07:00I love the re-use/repurposing of some of these des...I love the re-use/repurposing of some of these designs -- turning a sporting racket and cheese grater into earring displays is brilliant! I commented before that I have made my own out of an old picture frame and wire mesh (although I like Joanna's idea of putting pretty paper in the background) and these days I use one made of a piece of lace clamped into an embroidery hoop that I picked up used for 49 cents. But the wall-mounted designs are not easy to use for post-style earrings, whereas the free-standing designs are better suited to that function.

But what really got me drooling was the ceramic vase/earring holder. I wonder if you really need something with holes in it, or if you could use a favorite vase/container with a thin-enough lip...Claire Josefinehttp://clairejosefine.comnoreply@blogger.com
