Two Alarm Clocks with Fancy Scheduling Features

alarm clock
Do you want an alarm clock that lets you program in a weekly schedule (up at 6 a.m. on Monday but 7 a.m. on Tuesday) - for both you and your partner? One that lets you wake up to a different radio program each day? The Neverlate Executive has these features and many more. [via Metafilter]

And then there's the Chumby - not just an alarm clock, but rather an "interactive media player that constantly streams your favorite parts of the internet." But the alarm clock portion let you set up unlimited custom alarms.

What I need is an alarm clock that turns on my light! It's approaching winter here down under, and although my alarm goes off at 5:30, the sun doesn't get up until 5:45. I find it very hard to wake up in the dark. Last week I bought a timer for my bed-lamp. It should come on automatically about 1/2 hour before I need to get up. Hopefully it will help.

SueBK, I don't know of any that will turn on your light - but a number of alarm clocks do indeed make use of light.

1. If you go to the "related post", #4 and #5 both use light as one of the ways to wake you up.

2. There's also the Philips wake-up light - which may not be available outside of Europe.

3. The Verilux Rise & Shine Natural Alarm Clock Deluxe Bedside Lamp (which I can't find on the Verilux web site) gets mixed reviews.

4. Another option is the BioBrite sunrise clock.

5. And yet another is the Soleil sun alarm.
